Bigger is truly better in high-performance engines. Mopar has developed a huge 528 Hemi Crate Engine that cranks out a whopping 640 horsepower and 612 ft.-lbs. of torque! Mopar recommends that for maximum performance, an 850/900 cfm Holley carburetor and 2-1/4" exhaust headers be used (not available through Mopar). Shown with available Cross Ram Intake (P5007534), Holley Carburetors (P4452778 and P4452779), and Hemi Air Horns (P5007809). Refer to the Hemi and Fuel Systems sections of this catalog for details. Note: Assembled by legendary Hemi engine builder Ray Barton for Mopar.

 The Mopar 540 Aluminum Hemiฎ Crate Engine is built for extreme Hot Rods and Pro Street cars. This is for the person who wants the horsepower and durability of a race engine and the drivability of a street engine. Available in carbureted or supercharged EFI versions, it can produce up to 900+ horsepower, depending on induction. This Hemi is a fully water-jacketed motor with a streetable camshaft, and it’s made with an all aluminum block that’s stronger and lighter than cast iron. The 540 Hemi will also be available in a completely polished version for the extreme show car enthusiast.

Basic ingredients include a new 340 block featuring 4-bolt mains, aluminum "LA" heads, high-lift hydraulic camshaft and a 4.00" Stroker heavy-duty forged crankshaft. Topped off with a sexy aluminum "Six Pack" intake manifold and Mopar cast aluminum valve covers. The 410 has the right stuff to impress the troops at the drag strip and on cruise nights.
